Come listen to us playing live at The Dubliner, Oslo this evening. Muintir are playing tonight, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On stage at 10:45pm!
Free entry all times on Wed/Thu, and on Fri/Sat before 10:00pm; 100kr per person after that time on Fri/Sat.
We've got some old favourites, and new material for you - and promise our usual mix of foot tapping dance-a-long tunes, songs you can sing or clap along with, and plenty of genuine Irish craic! See you there.
Huge thanks to the Sound Irish Dance Factory and Sound Irish Dance Company dancers, the two brides, various grooms, and all the many guest dancers who joined in the video shoot over the weekend.
The video footage is being edited, and we look forward to seeing the finished product in the near future. I'm sure they'll capture just a little of the diversity, fun, and insanity we enjoyed over two days of intense dancing, music, and filming. Big thanks to Eirik Stordrange for his wonderful videography.
And while we wait, you can catch Muintir playing live @ The Dubliner, Oslo four nights next week. See you there!
Muintir, Sound-Irish Dance Factory and Sound-Irish Dance Company, are filming promo videos 10th of February (and 11th), and invite dancing extras and partners to come along and join in!
We will have a social céilí afternoon where we will both teach and run céilís - with short segments being filmed for promos promoting Social Céilí night events and Muintir. You'll bring a big smile and a wee bit of patience, wearing "nice-ish social-ceili-attire," and we'll give you a fun afternoon with céilí dancing and some posing for the cameras.
We also need some people for a wedding céilí on the Sunday, wearing wedding attire, and we're looking for one or more brides and grooms. So if you got a white dress, and are willing to appear on camera, let us know.

Dancers and non-dancers welcome! It's going to be fun!

Our first studio mini-album, "Tús Maith" is coming very soon.
This is the first time we've been in a recording studio as a band, and we had a lot of fun - and learned a lot too. We hope you'll like our mix of a studio recording, that also tries to capture a little of our hallmark live sound. Tracks are currently being mastered, and we hope to announce the release date in the next week or two.
